Professional background

Communiqué owner and principal, Christopher Wray, is a communication specialist with extensive planning, directing and hands-on marketing and design communication experience. For more than 15 years, Christopher has been providing excellence in communication—from concept to successful implementation—for companies ranging in size from small businesses with less than $1 million in annual revenue to members of the Fortune 500.

His expertise includes:

Information design. As Information Design Specialist for Chicago-based Doblin Inc. (formerly Doblin Group), a strategic consulting firm serving mid- and top-tier companies, Christopher translated research results into visual, actionable client scenarios and helped develop comprehensive brand identity systems.

Corporate and marketing communication. As Director of Marketing Communication for Evanston, IL-based Strategic Systems International, a technology solutions and enterprise software vendor, Christopher worked closely with executive and sales teams to help increase revenue and sales volume through integrated marketing and focused media relations.

Web site strategy. As an independent consultant, Christopher worked with executive teams to translate strategic visions into tactical plans for an enterprise intranet. He also led end-user teams to connect departmental communication needs with corporate intranet goals.

Visiting instructor. Christopher has taught graphic design to undergraduate, graduate and continuing education students as a part-time faculty member of the Department of Visual Communication and Division of Continuing Studies, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL.

Christopher has co-authored and designed feature articles appearing in leading professional design journals and has written business articles for vertical trade publications and mainstream technology magazines.
